The External Mifare Reader is a highly economical option, especially when it is critical to track both IN and OUT data of your employees without the need of 2 complete ACTAtek units installed at both sides of the doors.
In the above scenario, the External Mifare Reader can easily be installed at the exit for reading the OUT movement of employees. It does not have any costly infrastructure or software built-in to it, except for a simple card reader. It fully utilizes the technology present in the ACTAtek and transfers the OUT log back to the ACTAtek unit for reporting and audit purposes.

Moreover, it can be used in already secure locations, where you do not need a fully blown ACTAtek device. For instance, the supplies room, or the conference room, and such. This way, a Fingerprint / Smart card unit can be installed at high risk areas, such as the entrance and inventory room, etc, while the External Reader is installed at low risk areas within the organization, where an audit trail is still required but Fingerprint or a complete ACTAtek unit is not.
